Covid-19 Accommodation Cancellations

The arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic has led to the UK Government placing the country in lockdown with the enforced closure of many hospitality businesses, ours included, as well as only essential travel allowed. This, of course, means that The Top House Inn is currently closed and cannot accept guests at this time and guests are of course unable to travel.

We are continuing to monitor the situation and awaiting instruction from the UK Government as to when we may re-open our business. Until a date is known, we are currently only cancelling bookings on a 10 day prior to arrival basis. Therefore, if you wish to cancel your booking, please wait until ten days before you were due to arrive before you contact us.

In accordance with our terms and conditions of booking, all guests pay a deposit equivalent to the cost of the first night of their stay, on the understanding that the deposit is non-refundable or transferrable in the event of cancellation. By considering your booking closer to arrival we will have more up to date information and aware whether the enforced closure by the Government will remain in place and affect your stay. If it is necessary for your booking to be cancelled as a result of enforced closure by the Government during the next 10 days we will, at that stage, invite you to re-schedule your break within 12 months of your original date. If you decide to cancel your booking more than 10 days ahead of your reservation, then our cancellation policy as detailed on your booking confirmation applies as at that stage it will be unknown whether the enforced closure will be in place at the time of your reservation.
