We have a great team of hardworking and talented chefs in our kitchen creating mouthwatering dishes. They are also committed to keeping the kitchen well organised and structured.
Kevin Roberts – Head Chef
Kevin has been working with us at The Top House Inn for almost 7 years, from the day we took over in March 2010 and has worked his way up to Head Chef, with overall management of the kitchen. Kevin works closely with all the team and has been instrumental in helping to build our reputation for great food. Kevin understands the Inn really well and knows what dishes work well with a great understanding of local produce and in particular fish, with a good rapport buying locally from local fishermen.
Adam Carter – Consultant Chef
Adam has been working with us since the start of 2016 to assist with menu planning and preparation, working hands on alongside the team to help streamline processes. Adam is passionate about food and brings a wealth of experience gained over more than 20 years in the industry working throughout Cornwall and also overseas. Adam has great menu ideas, showcasing what the local area has to offer and his dessert specials and homemade ice cream is proving to be a particular favourite.
Kurt Bishop – Commis Chef/KP
Kurt joined us in August 2016 and has quickly settled in to his role in the team, supporting in food preparation and service as well as carrying out kitchen porter duties. Kurt studied and passed in Professional Cookery and Food and Beverage Service and has worked in a variety of establishments to gain hands on experience.
Jean Bradshaw – Breakfast Chef
Jean joined us in March 2011. Primarily Jean works as Breakfast Chef but also works during main service as well. Guests staying in our Bed and Breakfast rooms will have the pleasure of one of Jean’s legendary breakfasts from her Full Cornish breakfast to the Top House Fruit Platter. A great start to the day!
Helen Hines – Breakfast Chef
Helen joined us in 2015 ready for the busy summer season and has fitted in so well it feels like she has been here for a lot longer, preparing wonderful breakfasts for our guests.
Katie Morton and Megan Gribble – Part Time Kitchen Porters
The kitchen porters support all the chefs by keeping the kitchen clean and tidy, helping with food preparation and of course washing up!
