St Piran’s Day 5th March- Trelawny Shout
What better way to celebrate than to take part in the collective ‘shout’ (the term for Cornish pub singing). Mass singing of the Cornish anthem ‘Trelawny’, will be happening in many St Austell brewery pubs across the county. We are delighted that the Cadgwith Singers will be joining us to lead the singing here at The Top House on the night. Everyone welcome to join in!
Voices of all variety, regardless of pitch, talent, age and experience, will come together in pubs across the Duchy on the dot of 9pm, song sheet in hand, and sing their hearts out, knowing that down the road, across the moor or in some distant harbour, the celebration of community will be echoed.
We will be donating from sales of Trelawny on the night to The Cornwall Community Foundation (CCF) an organisation that aims to improve the lives of others in Cornwall, those who are isolated, disadvantaged and vulnerable. Find out more at www.cornwallfoundation.com
